Omar Sharif is an Egyptian actor whose birth name is Michel Demitri Shalhoub. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt on 10th April 1932.

His best films as an actor include David Lean's Doctor Zhivago (1965), William Wyler's Funny Girl (1968), Richard Lester's crime-thriller Juggernaut (1974), Henri Verneuil's Mayrig (1992) and Michael O. Sajbel's One Night with the King (2006).
