Steven Spielberg is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA on 18th December 1946.

His best films as a film director include Duel (1971), Jaws (1975), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Schindler's List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan (1998), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Tobe Hooper's Poltergeist (1982) and Richard Donner's comedy The Goonies (1985).
