Film Synopsis

Dakar, the capital of Senegal in West Africa, is a colourful and bustling modern city.  Satché, a good-looking young man, has returned to this thriving metropolis, having spent the past few years living in the United States, for what will be his last day on earth.  After being chosen as a sacrifice, Satché has no option but to accept his fate and live the few hours that remain to him as fully as he can.  His parting from his family is more an occasion for rejoicing than one of grief.  As he sets out on his final journey, accompanied by his friend, Satché savours life more intensely than he has before, knowing that death is just over the horizon.  On the way, he will encounter his first true love and a strange philosopher who is occupied in washing the bodies of the dead...
