Déchirés / Graves (2013)
Directed by Vincent Dieutre

Comedy / Drama

Film Synopsis

In May 2012, Vincent Dieutre offers a golden opportunity to a group of aspiring young actors at a Breton drama school.  Giving them free rein to express themselves artistically,  Dieutre allows his talented protégés to explore their own persona or else create a totally different one, writing their own text without any constraints.  It is an interesting experiment that was previously attempted by a group of up-and-coming French filmmakers - Pascale Ferran, Cédric Kahn and Nicolas Philibert - back in 1995, an initiative of the National Theatre of Strasbourg in collaboration with the television channel Arte to attract young actors into cinema.  Dieutre's collective venture has the same objective and achieves some surprising results...
