Comedy
aka: The Honorable Catherine

Film Synopsis

Catherine and her partner Jérôme are having a hard time trying to make a success of their clock-selling business, so they contrive a plan that will make them rich.  All they have to do is to hunt out couples who are having illicit affairs and bribe them into buying their clocks at an extortionate price.  Catherine thinks she has found her first victim when she sees a man called Jacques Tavère arranging an assignation with a married woman, Gisèle Morand.   When she goes to see Jacques, Catherine is surprised to come face-to-face with Gisèle's husband, Pierre.  When Pierre ask her who she is she pretends to be Jacques's mistress.  Charmed by Catherine, Pierre invites her and Jacques to lunch.  At the restaurant, Catherine recognises Lily and Maurice, another couple whose strange behaviour intrigues her.  Certain she has found a potential pair of victims, Catherine follows them back to their home, not knowing that Lily and Maurice are in fact a pair of jewel thieves..
