Film Synopsis

After a newspaper hoax, Eugène Crochard is considered by his entourage to be a millionaire.  Even though he is unemployed and not well off, Eugène manages to attract all manner of people hoping to benefit from his supposed wealth.  After a series of misunderstandings, the unfortunate man finally succeeds in winning the girl he has fallen in love with.
