Film Synopsis

In a working class district of Paris, Lisette works at home as a typist and lives with her grandmother and brother Joseph.  She is in love with Amédée, a young man who lives in the same building.  Lisette is unaware that Amédée is the son of General Morin, a pompous military man who would never agree to their getting married.  Fate offers a helping hand when Joseph rescues the General's young granddaughter from drowning...
