Remontons les Champs-Élysées (1938)
Directed by Sacha Guitry

Comedy / Drama

Film Synopsis

From 1697 to 1938, from the Place de l'Étoile to the Place de la Concorde, from Louis XV to the King of England, the history of the Champs-Élysées, the finest avenue in the world, is related by a teacher to his pupils.  The teacher claims that his great-grandfather was the son of Louis XV and an unknown beauty.  Since there is no evidence to the contrary, the teacher sees no reason why he should keep this fact a secret...
