Werner Herzog is a German film director, screenwriter, producer and actor whose birth name is Werner Herzog Stipetic. He was born in Munich, Germany on 5th September 1942.

His best films as an actor include Lektionen in Finsternis (1992), Little Dieter Needs to Fly (1997), Mein liebster Feind - Klaus Kinski (1999), The White Diamond (2004) and Grizzly Man (2005), and whose best work as a film director include Even Dwarfs Started Small (1970), Aguirre, der Zorn Gottes (1972), The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser (1974), Fitzcarraldo (1982) and Glocken aus der Tiefe - Glaube und Aberglaube in Rußland (1995).
