Xavier Beauvois is a French actor, film director and screenwriter. He was born in Auchel, Pas-de-Calais, France on 20th March 1967.

His best films as an actor include Nord (1991), Michel Deville's Aux petits bonheurs (1994), N'oublie pas que tu vas mourir (1995), Benoît Jacquot's Villa Amalia (2009) and Jean-Marc Moutout's De bon matin (2011), and whose best work as a film director include Selon Matthieu (2000), Le Petit lieutenant (2005) and Des hommes et des dieux (2010).
